Giacomo's Boston North End - Crossing

The food was incredible. The service not so much the waitress we had was immensely rude with us throughout the process and carried an abrasive attitude as soon as we entered the restaurant. They weren’t patient as a waitress staff. They served everything all at once instead of communicating whether or not we were ready for the entrees.table was crowded and she was on her phone instead of being attentive. I regret giving them the recommended tip because they didn’t accommodate my needs in their establishment. Will not be returning unfortunately because the staff was so disrespectful rushed us out and made all of their customers unwelcomed.

I had the chicken and shrimp pesto and it was bland no taste what so ever. Waitress was a bit rude .

My understanding is this establishment was recently acquired and has gone mediocre since then. Had a short line to get in and seated upstairs in this cash only restaurant. It totally has the family owned vibes but the love is gone. Wine bottles are 4xed, bread is an afterthought, mussels were good, clam chowder was tasty but basic, lobster ravioli's garlic cream sauce was bland, and the salmon and sun dried tomato cream sauce was really just a glorified marinara. We had high hopes but after this experience, I won't be returning...

The food was good but I was not happy with my service. Most people understand that tip isn’t included in the total and I was handing the woman my cash when she asked if I wanted my change. Of course I wanted the change, but when I said yes she kept telling me that gratuity is not included, which I repetitively replied by saying that I understood. If I gave her all my change I would have been paying her more than 35% tip. But the woman kept repeating herself as if I don’t understand, and I personally felt very offended and felt as if she kept acting as if I didn’t understand how to tip because I’m Asian. I don’t know what her intentions were, but, overall, I felt offended because she kept treating me like I didn’t know what to do when I clearly did, and she stared at me as if I was clueless.

No atmosphere whatsoever. I had food poisoning from eating dinner there. I don’t understand why people keep going to this place. I saw their tomatoe sauce was made from cans on my way to their bathroom in the basement. Health department definitely did not examine this place throughly. They are serving rotten octopuses there
