The location is right on the water and the view of Boston is great during the day and even better at night. They have a menu with great choices. I had a big cup of the clam and corn chowder which was a great start. They have a choice of cold or hot lobster rolls, and I chose hot. It was delicious. The service by Shirley was outstanding. It's a definite stop when in Charlestown.
This was my 4th time here, so obviously I absolutely love this place!! It's my to-go place whenever I have guests over visiting me in Boston. First off I love their views of Harbor on all windows! Secondly, they are always able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. They have lots of seafood on the menu including starters! I love their grilled salmon, and I often order their cheeseburger minus the meat patty and instead get a grilled salmon added. In the past, I've added fried fish to the burger as well. Though this combo is not on the menu but they accommodate it and adjust the price in it. My son is a picky eater, but he absolutely loves their creamy mashed potato, so I always get it on a side! But they have a nice kids menu too and have small salmon on kids menu too! They can make great non-alcoholic mocktails too, so you will never feel left out when you're there with friends who drink!
I really love the view from Pier 6 the food was exceptionally good and fresh in the upstairs dining. There is a roof deck, but I recommend that people make reservationsbeforehand. There's also a bar downstairs alfresco. There's a lot of families, dates, neighbors, groups of people in this location as a fun festive laid-back environment. I enjoyed my oysters, tuna tartare, beet salad, halibut tacos. The mussels are to die for! Service was very friendly highly recommend.
The location, view, and vibes are all fantastic. There's easy parking, looks like a great place for casual drinks or late night fun, love that it's next to the marina. I wasn't expecting a lot given that it's right on the water in Boston but the espresso martinis curdled immediately. And for the price, I'm glad I was lowballing the lobster roll. There wasn't much effort put into it except a single claw and drizzle of butter. The Caesar salad was delicious and the service was pretty good. You go for the environment, not the food or drinks
Last week, my family and I revisited Pier 6, nestled at 1 8th St in Charlestown, MA. Despite having been there nearly a year ago, this visit was dedicated to exploring their enticing fall menu. Our libation journey began with the Paper Boat, a delightful concoction of Maker 's Mark bourbon, aperol, and zesty lemon. A must try for bourbon enthusiasts, this cocktail set the tone for an evening of palate pleasing experiences. The classic margarita featuring Ocho Blanco tequila, triple sec, and lime, along with the Piña Colada infused with Blue Chair coconut rum, added a tropical flair. Wrapping up the prelude was the timeless classic, the espresso martini a perfect prelude to a delightful meal. Venturing into appetizers, the Blackened Swordfish Tacos showcased a harmonious blend of flavors, accented by avocado lime crema and jicama slaw, earning a solid 8/10. The fried calamari, adorned with sliced cherry peppers, earned a commendable 7/10 for its well seasoned, zesty appeal. A visual and gastronomic delight, the tuna tartare with avocado, mango, chili oil, and wontons stood out as a favorite, offering a delightful sharing experience. Transitioning to the main course, the grilled hanger steak with broccoli and watercress salad proved to be a satisfactory choice, meriting a 7/10. However, stealing the spotlight were the pan seared scallops, sautéed in a vegetable succotash and complemented by a citrus carrot purée a truly decadent delight deserving of a 9/10. Equally impressive was the grilled swordfish, accompanied by Israeli couscous, mussels, cherry tomatoes, and a green olive chimichurri. The flavorful couscous and impeccably fresh swordfish earned this dish a solid 9/10. Concluding the entrees, the seafood fry diavolo , boasting linguine, spicy pomodoro sauce, mussels, and shrimp, though not overly spicy, delivered a tasty experience with well cooked mussels and shrimp, earning a respectable 7/10. Beyond the culinary delights, Pier 6 offers a breathtaking view of Boston, coupled with an intimate ambiance. This gem in Charlestown deserves a visit for its excellent dishes and overall dining experience. Food: 8/10 Affordability: 7/10 Ambiance: 8/10
