The food was delicious! I tried the homemade bun with ham and the "manger and maic" (though I’m not sure about that dish's name), and for dessert, I had a chocolate brownie that was the best pudding I've enjoyed in a long time. We will definitely be returning. Thank you, Boars Head Inn!
The food was excellent, and the staff were fantastic. I celebrated my 65th birthday here with family and friends, and nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend this restaurant!
After a long walk and a bus ride to get there we were welcomed with mulled wine and hot food despite the late arrival for lunch. This was my 2nd visit there I previously visited in summer and spent an afternoon in the company of a live band and good hospitality. This pub is little oasis in the countryside round Crowborough.
We have visited this lovely old country pub/restaurant on 3 occasions of our 4 day break and found the food drink and staff very good indeed Thoroughly recommend The Boars Head To all and very dog friendly, and chatty interesting locals! Jerry Craven
We visited the Boars Head Inn as part of a 10-mile circular walk around Lye Green on Easter Sunday. Unlike other patrons who were already seated, we opted for the fantastic ploughman’s lunch and enjoyed delicious hot mixed seafood platters in the garden. We received a warm welcome, and our meal exceeded our expectations. It’s definitely a place we would love to revisit.
