I did enjoy the restaurant's ambiance, and I was dining with five others, so I wasn't complaining, but nothing really stood out as amazing. I also tried the bread pudding, but it had way too much condensed milk for my taste. My brother loved it, though! It had cinnamon, which not every place includes in their bread pudding. I personally prefer it with cinnamon, so when I return, I’ll ask if I can have it without the sauce since it was just too sweet for me. It’s December now, and the restaurant had a lovely Christmas atmosphere with some trees beautifully decorated.
Not the nicest Fezzo?s I?ve been in but the food was still great and the service was on point! The outside of the building needs some major love. Plus, it?s right next to a cheap questionable motel. I definitely had my reservations about going in but I am glad I did. My server was very attentive and hospitable. I ordered a shrimp platter (forgot the actual name) and it was so good! Would definitely go back!
On our way from Texas to New Orleans we stopped here.. This place was delicious. I had the fish and shrimp combo with baked potatoe. Very good food. Even the bread was something special, a little rustic on the outside but oh so soft on the inside. Husband had red beans and rice and grilled chicken. He really enjoyed it. Service was wonderful.
The dining experience here is excellent. The fish tacos are delicious, and the ambiance is perfect for this location. It's a peaceful spot, despite being right by the highway. The bathrooms are clean, which is a plus. This restaurant is ideal for families with children or for those looking for a quiet place to relax. The maitre d' was attentive and seemed to understand our needs, but it felt like there was a preference for welcoming locals over outsiders—just my observation!
I ordered three specialty mixed drinks, specifically called "Spools," and they tasted like pure juice. When I asked the bartender about the alcohol content, she showed me a bottle labeled "Trifaxis" and claimed that the name on the bottle was merely a label; however, she insisted that three different types of alcohol were mixed inside. I regularly buy these drinks at the Lafayette, Broussard, and Scott locations where the bartenders pour each type of alcohol visibly, ensuring customers know exactly what they’re getting. Here, the bartender simply poured from the Trifaxis bottle—resulting in a drink that tasted like juice—and they refused to refund my money so that I could purchase a proper drink elsewhere. I plan to contact the appropriate manager, Josh Spell, on Monday. I believe it may even violate health regulations to serve pre-mixed alcohol from a Trifaxis bottle. The drink should consist of vodka, Bombay gin, and rum, all of which are easily distinguishable, and it concerns me that they could be mixing them improperly. Hana’s coworker indicated I should wait until Monday to speak to Josh. If this establishment is indeed reputable, their staff should undergo better training to ensure drinks are mixed properly in front of the customer. If I could give a zero rating, I would; I felt robbed and ignored. Hana and the bartenders urged me to drink the questionable drinks, but how can they prove what was actually in them? I ultimately discarded the drinks because they could have been tampered with. They claimed I was the only customer to complain, yet that doesn’t justify serving drinks that are inadequately prepared. A mixed drink should be made visibly and professionally with respect to the customer.
