Dosa Lounge - Croydon

The service at this restaurant is very disappointing. The manager is incompetent and extremely rude to customers.

Great tasting food is the major attraction of Dosa Lounge in West Croydon. It's an informal cafe style set up with separate dining areas for strict vegetarian and non vegetarian diners. This is a distinction you often see in the Indian sub continent, but I've never seen it in restaurant seating before. We asked for non alcoholic beers and the waiter apologized they were not cold, my white wine wasn't from the fridge either, but it was fine. We both ordered starters fried masala fish and masala paneer which were very tasty and plentiful. The dosas we had to follow were large and freshly made with just enough filling. I would recommend Dosa Lounge for great food without fuss.

Good value for money, food is spicy so not drummed down so be aware hot means hot kids loved the dosa's the gobi manchurian is lovely all food is piping hot so great if you do not like your food cold. I had one of the specials of the day meat curry with rice £5.00 good value enough for 2 if you have had starters as well. Service seems slow but all food is prepared fresh allow at least an hour 20 mins to enjoy. Decor is basic. Will def be back here again.

The Delima restaurant was excellent value. We had Sotong kichap (squid fried with pepper and soya sauce for starter which was tasty and succlient. My main course was a lamb dish with spice which was great although the Chicken noodles tasted fresh but lacked some flavour. Overall I would recommend this restaurant.

Friendly authentic tasty
