Cafe Biltmore - Crystal Bay

I stopped here for caffe and to use the wifi and it was OK. Not great atmosphere but convenient on the road around the Lake.

Came to the Biltmore for breakfast on what looked like a slow morning. It took 15 minutes to get water and coffee to the table. The food was delivered cold, the eggs Benedict was a Plato yellow color and had a crust on the sauce from sitting. The ice water was was worth the wait. You would think they would focus on service since the hotel is so dated.

Lupe was our server. Had his mask on below his nose the entire time, and while he pulled it up repeatedly throughout our visit, (with the same hands he served us with, totally unhygienic), he never got it OVER his nose. He was pleasant enough but, failed to tell me about the peppers and onions in the potatoes, which would have drastically changed my order had I known. They didn't say anything about them on the menu. But, I didn't want to slow down my party by sending the food back when it finally came. Unimpressed with the decor and smell of cigarettes that permeated the entire building. I get it, it's a casino, but DAMN. It looked like it hadn't been renovated in decades. We were famished as a LOT of places on our way were just closed all together. So, we ate here anyway, but I thought I might spare you the same experience!

Small menu but everyone’s favorites on the menu. INCREDIBLE eggs Benedict at great prices. Excellent service as well!

The food here was horrible. Okay, to be fair the French toast was pretty good. The eggs were like plastic. Sunny side up and scrambled. They were awful. We could not eat them. The pancake was so hard to cut, it was like trying to break a piece of plastic. Now, let 's talk about the eggs Benedict The hollandaise sauce looked like melted yellow American cheese. It was THICK and flavorless. One of the orders HAD to be sent back. I am, we are so upset with the food. It was just awful. Never ever going back. This place made me feel like I was being pranked. Also the service was so slow and we plus another 6 people were the only ones there.
