Chingon Tex-mex Bbq - Crystal Lake

Absolutely great place to go for dinner. The elote appetizer is delicious and overall the food everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The service was amazing and the ambience of the restaurant was great. Portions were big and we had enough to take home and enjoy the next day.

Lot of interesting art work grace the walls. The pulled pork sandwich was very good and my wife enjoyed her queasedellas. And my Old Fashioned was great. The service was very good. But the place was empty. I'm guessing the word hasn't gotten out about this place. We'll see what the future holds for them.

The service was horrible. The waitress was very distracted. Lost our drink order and then returned to ask us what we ordered again. The drinks she recommended were new and definitely not worth the $12. She dragged to bring our drinks and to take our food order. After we ordered it was still an eternal wait without anyone checking on us or even offer more drinks. The food was not very appetizing either . Very disappointed! Was expecting more for the 4.1 stars this place has. I still tipped because we always do but I could’ve not given her not even a $1. Not to mention there were also other people upset waiting and we also overheard her telling them she also lost their order !!! Maybe this place would have a better chance if the staff was more efficient and competent.

The pulled pork jalapeno poppers were the best I've ever had. The service was great. I personally wouldn't get the ribinator sandwich again. Some bites of it were great but some sections were tough as jerky. I'd definitely come back and try something different though.

Good food, great atmosphere and awesome wait staff. Definitely will go again.
