Grannie's Country Cookin’

Grannys in Crystal River has always been my favorite place. I live two hours away from Crystal River. When we vacation there every year, we go to grannies every day. This year, the end of August 2024 the food was just horrible and over salted. I told the manager and she did nothing about it. Very sad to say I won’t be back. I got a Reply frm Granny’s. It was NOT ONLY th okra but Potato Pancakes. Mgr did Nothing abt it. Poor Management

A taste of southern cooking was welcomed after being at the beach for over a week. Food was superb, service was friendly, atmosphere was homey. Prices were very reasonable.

Recently went there. I really thought it would be good. I ordered hash 2 light poached eggs home fries raisin toast and of course coffee. I think a girl named Sam served us not sure very pleasant lady. I have been a waitress also restrauant owner. I will never complain to a waitress so I didn’t but should have. My home fries tasted OLD like they were in the frig way too long. Hash was canned and burnt and had extra black crap scrapped off a dirty grill that I couldn’t even chew. Couldn’t finish the meal. Coffee great. Raisin toast well buttered. Eggs poached perfectly. Guess what I am 68 years old and suffered with food poisoning for 10 days. How do I know that well I have a roommate we eat the same thing everyday except for that day. I tipped my waitress well cause she was great it’s not her fault the person in charge of the kitchen isn’t doing the quality control

You can’t go wrong with the locals favorite classic take on traditional southern breakfast. From the homemade biscuits and gravy to the pancakes to the southern hospitality. Food and atmosphere create a warm welcome to any family. Highly recommended.

Tracy is THE BEST WAITRESS!!! Great personality and always friendly. Rest of staff is very friendly.
