We have believed this bookstore through mere coincidence picture and now it is on the top of my list of things to see in Mexico City. there is a cafeteria in the inner, and a pendulum that moves and creates geometric figures. therefore the name Cafe-breria el pendulo. it is. the coolest bookstore chain in Mexico City. they are worth visiting when they love books, beautiful interiors or cool caffes. when they all love up, they prepare to blow their mind. we loved it so much that we visited it twice during our one-month stay in Mexico City. the Polanco branch we visited is the most popular. here you will see the beautiful design elements for which this bookstore is known. it has a spiral staircase, balcony with green country, and floor to cover books. it is a great place to grab a new book, meet for coffee or drink and even listen to live music. I don't have much to say about eating because we just had beer, but I've blown over the menu cards because they are designed by famous books.
Recommend this caffe when they are in the environment. great food and ambiente! we ordered Mexican egg that was delicious! the personal here does not speak English, but we used google translate. service was also great!
We had breakfast twice at this bookstore cafe b/c we enjoyed it so much. The location is great--a short walk from the Angel and Ave. Paseo de la Reforma--and the atmosphere is all that a bibliophile could ask for (they also have an English section...and plenty of cute gifts). The menu is a good mix traditional options (like quesadillas) and things like pancakes with a decent number of vegetarian options. It's slightly pricier than some other places, but not by much, and it's still very reasonable: With the exchange rate two people ate brunch with coffee and juices for around $20. Definitely recommend it!
