I warned on the bill, the waiter asked me for a tip I offered, I was going to give the credit card machine in my pencil, not show any quantity. when the entry was received, he had more drinking money than I offered. he offered to pay me back, but I was just interested in going!
It was a lovely surprise to discover this rooftop Spanish restaurant behind the cathedral. My grilled fish was perfectly cooked, the olives from the antipasto trolley were amongst the best I've eaten in a while, and the garlic mayonnaise with basil and a hint of...spiciness was addictive. No idea why it is so far down the list of restaurants in Trip Advisor, but it deserves to be in the top twenty at least.
Walking along Calle Alvaro Obregon in Mexico City's trendy Roma neighborhood, we passed plenty of eateries that featured state-of-the art design but we were struck by the dozen or so ham legs displayed in a wooden case just inside Jamon y Jamon. Five of us...ate a Sunday lunch that we will always remember for the quality of the food and excellence of service (always attentive, never overbearing). Appetizers included four different styles of Jamon including the delicate Serano from Spain. A cheese plate and tasty bread preceded the main course which for me was duck confit--three perfectly prepared duck legs with succulent meat and crispy skin. I always look out for this dish and this one takes the prize for the best ever. Everything else we had equaled the duck. When we return to D.F. Jamon y Jamon will definitely be one of our first stops!
Go figure. I am from Spain and when traveling outside of Spain, I look for authentic Spanish restaurants to see how they represent the Spanish gastronomy. Jamon J. Jamon had the best Spanish tapas I have ever tried outside of Spain. Very fresh, cooked as...there are cooked in Spain, and with authentic ingredients. I could add that this restaurant is even better than many restaurants serving the same dishes in Spain! Great selection of Spanish wines. And, yes, real Jamon ibérico imported from Spain.
That is a Spanish restaurant. we thought of a glass weeping and the service was very boring and no English speakers. the place looks good.
