The menu is varied, and the quality of the dishes is superb, enough for our group of five to have a friendly disagreement about who had the best dinner (I insist the pea soup wins the prize! The service has been outstanding every time we 've gone, whether it has been one or two of us, or a larger group. The staff is friendly and professional. Most of the tables are outside, with a few available inside if preferred. Milo 's has earned a permanent place on our 'must visit ' list when we 're in the city.
A nice place but unfortunately the service ruined the experience. Our waitress could not be bothered with customers. She would stand and watch, but not do anything. She poured the glasses full of wine without providing the opportunity to taste it first. We had to demand the credit card receipt from another waiter because she had wondered off. We have been to many restaurants in the area, so we know good service is possible!!
My wife and I really enjoyed this little place on Amsterdam Avenue. I had the chicken enchiladas verde. My wife had salmon toast (an open-faced sandwich with smoked salmon, tomatoes, capers, and crema). Both dishes were truly excellent. The wait- staff was very friendly and helpful. We sat outside and enjoyed the mild weather and people watching. The food wass inexpensive, but very tasty and well presented. Try it. We think you'll like it.
Very Expensive Wine: For wine, check the prices before ordering (no drink menu available when you order and the house wine is the Guadeloupe wine) as they were the most expensive glass of wine we encountered in two weeks in Mexico City; $248 MXpeso for one glass of Guadeloupe blend wine; Good service all the same
We had a very nice late lunch here, very close to our Hotel in Mexico Street. Very nice location, friendly service in a clean locale. Reasonable prices and well prepared meals. Reccomeded
