The address appears to be incorrect. I walked there and discovered a restaurant that offers arepas, but unfortunately did not have any vegan options. The Facebook page suggests that this place is located in Guayaquil. I have already contacted Happy Cow regarding this issue.
Whenever I am in Cuenca, I always make sure to visit Edelis to enjoy some arepas. She is extremely kind and always goes out of her way to help fulfill our requests using the ingredients available in her kitchen. Whether it's a simple raw salad or cooked potatoes for a lighter meal, Edelis always delivers. Her arepas are hands down the best and incredibly tasty! I enjoy supporting her because she puts so much love and effort into her food, and works tirelessly to keep her business running smoothly. She is even working on introducing vegan options, which is quite a challenge in Ecuador. Additionally, her spicy sauce is truly special. I am grateful to support a small business run by someone who has a passion for cooking and brings joy to their customers.
Stopped here for a quick snack and ordered the vegan taco. They had a few other vegan options too. The taco was nice and flavorful with a creamy avocado sauce.
I absolutely loved this establishment - it is one of the top vegetarian-friendly restaurants in the city. Additionally, the owner is incredibly friendly!
