The Auld Fella - Culver City

The bartenders were incredibly friendly. The corned beef and cabbage were outstanding, although the broccolini and carrots could have used a little more cooking time.

I absolutely love the atmosphere at Auld Fella, especially with the live music on Tuesday nights! The first two songs performed were by Frank and Dean.

We started with curry fries and mushrooms. The fries were delicious, though I prefer them a bit crispier. The curry was fantastic for dipping. The mushrooms were a hit as well! For the main course, we had the Veggie Shepherd's Pie, Rooster Pie, and corned beef. Everything was tasty, and I was particularly impressed with the variety of vegetarian options available. I ordered a snakebite to drink, and the waitress was so kind, wanting to ensure that what we thought was a snakebite matched their version. One of my favorite aspects of the place was the music playlist—utterly excellent 80s alternative rock. You can really tell that the owner is passionate about music, as evidenced by all the photos on the walls. I can’t wait to return and experience it all again. My only regret was that there wasn’t a dartboard!

Stopped into to Auld Fella last week to meet some friends for happy hour. It was a bit early on a weekday so the crowd was pretty thin but the bartender was patient for me while I waited forever for my friends. I ordered the sausage roll, minishepherds pie, and a bottle of wine to split. Happy hour is something like 20 bucks for a bottle of wine so it?s a steal plusthe food is pretty damn good. They have a nice patio and plenty of seating so if you?re in the area for their happy hour it?sworth the stop!

Overall, I really enjoy The Auld Fella, but the constant live music from the street in the evenings is far too loud. We come for dinner and good company, not to have to shout over live music blasting through the speakers.
