Ugo: An Italian Cafe - Culver City

One waitress was friendly and cheerful, while the other had a completely different demeanor.

Nugo is one of our favorite restaurants in Culver City. They serve delicious Italian food and amazing gelato.

Service was hectic, unorganized and inattentive. Never brought out appetizer. Steak was horrible. Manager apologized and offered us free gelato.

The minestrone soup was excessively salty, and we couldn't finish it. The prices for the pasta also seemed quite high.

Valentines Day you expect to be crowded, but Ugo was totally unprepared. Not enough wait staff. They were seating people who didn’t have reservations. The food took over an HOUR!! They gave a lame excuse of 1chef being out. Doesn’t explain the rest of the place being under staffed. We had to get the manager. Manager should’ve come to our table to apologize. Eventually got taken off the bill. But I would’ve rather had good service and served promptly and paid full price. It even took 30 min to get bread and water refilled. Awful.
