I never went to a BBQ restaurant where the waitress recommended not to put a sauce on the ribs. But she was right... there is no need for sauce. Honesty the best ribs I had and no sauce necessary. Pulled pig, wing and brisket were also very good. For pages I recommend the beans. Service was also great. Can't wait to go back!
Appropriate bbq. I got the pulled chicken and it was okay, sure tasted better than it looked. I guess Maisbrot was included now? $1 extra the size of a Boston Market Cornbread, but it was very delicious. I love coke slave, but was not on her, it was waterproof and salty. Got the macaroni salad and liked it, but nothing remarkable. Our waitress Brittany was sweet and beautiful.
We stayed at the Cumberland Gotta Q site and I was really impressed. At the beginning, as you walk towards the door, you are welcomed by the smell of BBQ that delicious aroma of meat smoked immediately excites your taste buds. Inside, the decoration and atmosphere is what you would expect from a BBQ place in New England type of a country / south vibe. Comfortable seats (although I like more upholstery in the stands, but this is a personal preference), music on a reasonable volume, so it does not distract, but also its task to create a mood, and combine a friendly waiter to provide a positive start into the culinary experience. I chose the Duo meat meal 2 meats, 2 sides, and a piece of corn bread. I chose the pulled pig, pulled chicken, brisket chili and potato salad. I also chose a piece of pecan pie for dessert. The potato salad was not bad. I would have liked a more complex taste, but it was servicable. While the worst aspect of my meal, it was still an average to above average potato salad. The pulled pig was well prepared. I have some carbonized bits and overall it was very delicate and tasteful. It didn't need a sauce that the sign of good BBQ sauce should always be the spice that it improves, not the one that offers the taste and hid bad preparation. The pulled chicken comes slightly prestipated, which I assume to keep it from drying out. It was moist and delicious. Again, nothing had to be added to him to make it pale or edible. It was just delicious. That's the sauces. On the table you will find 4 sauces. A vinegar-based sauce, a mustard-based sauce, a sweet Hickory sauce and the house mix sauce. While every sauce of each meat is complicated differently, the must sauce added the best that was on my plate. I didn't use a ton of sauce, but the sauces have added a nice variety to the taste party that went on in my mouth. Finally there was the Brisket Chili. Life changes well. The brisket was tenderly disintegrated, the chili sauce was pleasantly spicy, and the cup chili was like a goldmine of taste and dining room pleasure. I could never eat brisket again. This was amazing and it is worth walking in the door for itself. The pecan pie was the perfect finish for my meal. Not clumpy sweet, but still very sweet, the nutty, caramelishy filling hardly holds its shape, sitting in a perfectly buttery crust. It is literally the best way to end this kind of meal. My dining room partner had got the BBQ Quesedilla with the pulled chicken. I was offered and accepted a piece, and even that was incredibly delicious. The apple pico? This is the best BBQ I had in a while, and the prices were reasonable. Gotta Q gives Goodstuff in Blackstone a run for his money. I'd like to run a side by side, but my whole being could explode with the joy that would experience 2 such amazing BBQ mea
My friend and I both pulled chickens. She has Bbq Pit beans and chicken salad. I have potatoes and Caesar salad. Everything is fresh and tasty until unsweetened tea. You need a place like this at home in NJ/PA. I'd give 8 stars if I could.
I ordered a small meal that came with 2 sides and cornbread. I picked pulled pork, coleslaw, and the plain skillet mac cheese. The pulled pork was incredible. It was super tender and the BBQ sauce on the side. My 8 month old was gobbling it up. The cornbread was very dry but I dunked it in all the extra mayo from the coleslaw. I didn't like the crumble on top of the mac cheese but it was good. The last time we visited this location for take out, 2020, the food was terrible and we said we would never be back. I'm glad I gave it another chance.
