Helarte - Cusco

This small ice cream and coffee shop meets a very warm afternoon absolutely on the place and offers a great tasting of homemade ice creams as well as other coffeeshop products. Good value at £3 for x2 balls of treat.

We loved this place and it became a go-to-ice spot because of the location. Many flavors to choose from!

I took my 8-year-old daughter here last week. They had no simple vanilla, so they tried two flavors. The seller who was not particularly interested in helping us) told us the costs were 7 soles. I got her a 20 sole bill after she gave my daughter the ice. The seller told me she had no change and had no support. Ok, I've been living and working in Latin America for 20 years, I get that change is a problem, but if you can't break 20 soles, it's time to call the owner and have them bring some changes, or let the customer know that you can break nothing over 10 soles or 3 USD). My daughter was afraid to eat it and was worried that we had to give it back. So I had to empty all the bags and my daughters money she saved for this trip to pay for the ice, while the seller ZERO tried to change from her own purse or neighboring business like other in Peru. Finally we went to the Coffee Shop Nextdoor and she had her ice cream while I had a delicious coffee. FYI, I think the coffee shop also had ice cream.

Helarte has great ice cream!! I was on a mission to find ice cream after a hot day in Cusco, and found Helarte! They had many flavors where you could get scoops and fancy ice creams bowls! I opted just for the scoops to try new flavors, and what I had was great! I can't remember what I had but they were all very good! Helarte was never busy so it was nice to come inside and relax. I definitely recommend coming here for ice cream. They had other pictures of sweets on their wall, I would love to try!! The staff was friendly, they didn't really go out of their way to do anything special or say anything, but I was just there for ice cream so no problem! They were open late, both times I went. Helarte had local ice cream flavors that are worth trying, although I cannot remember the names. I would definitely come back!

Los helados muy ricos, sin embargo tuve una mala experiencia, en el helado que me sirvieron, ente el cono y el helado había una servilleta, me di cuenta, cuando iba por la mitad del helado consumido, cuando regresé al local, la señorita se disculpó, pero su respuesta fue: solo puedo darle la mitad de otro helado porque ya comiste na parte
