I can't even begin to describe my luck when I saw this place selling GF bread after I went over Cusco to find something. The day we arrived, it was already sold out, but he saved us for the next day. It consists of Qinua and Kiwicha. I tasted GF bread better in my life, but given the circumstances it was the perfect thing to put some butter on.
The owners, a wonderful young couple, make the most amazing and tasty bread. I didn't like bread in Cuzco, it's white and without much taste. In Masa Madre you will find a variety of very good breads. All tastes so good that you can not decide what is better Moreover they work to create a wonderful chocolate that has a lot of ingredients very good for your health besides the cocoa. Try not to be disappointed. You are close to Plaza de Armas. Visit them before you leave Cuzco.
We went there a few months ago as we walked past and saw the super deliciously looking bread. I only do gluten free and they even cater to that. On top of it they make a delicious raw chocolate, which was perfect as energy source on the Inka Trail. They make different types of breads and you should at least try one as you are there. We even got another one for the travels…that is how good it was. They are located inside a cafe/restaurant, but you will be able to see the bread displayed through the shopping window. Enjoy!!!
