We had breakfast, but I’m sorry I forgot to take photos. Elena also provided us with recommendations for a campground and information about Custer State Park. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience! Our three-week road trip is going really well.
As for the food, it was quite good. I ordered the Eggs, Meat, and Spuds, along with mini Belgian waffles and bacon, while my wife opted for the Eggs and Taters. Both meals were simple, hot, fresh, and flavorful. The only downside was that my wife's mini waffles were served cold, while mine were hot, indicating some inconsistency. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with a satisfying breakfast at a great value, all in a charming environment—if you’re a fan of cowboy hats, you'd love it here, as there were probably around 200 hanging from the rafters! Definitely worth a visit!
I stopped in for lunch and tried the Buffalo dish for the first time. It was fantastic—juicy and full of flavor. I also loved the sweet potato fries, and the portion sizes were very generous!
A convenient restaurant in the heart of Custer, and next door to the Best Western Buffalo Ridge where we stayed, so we went in hoping for good prime rib. I was sorely disappointed. Waitress didn't even know what Worcestershire sauce was. My horse radish cream came in a prepackaged pouch. And my prime rib seemed steamed and tasteless. However, the reason this got 3 stars was my Hubby loved his buffalo meatloaf, and my son loves his mac and cheese. So 3 stars it is!!!
Great food. Friendly service. Big portions. Veggie omelet and, country omelet and kids breakfast. Come for the food.
