Johnny's Roadhouse - Custer

On vacation with our 5th wheel, staying in Ludington, husband and I wanted fish dinner and gave Johnny's Sports Bar a try in Custer, a small town East of Ludington, about a 15 min drive. Large establishment with different activities, maybe available at one time before they closed down. A good size bar where you can order food and eat if you want. Large number of tables in the center of room, several high top tables and several boothes at the back of room. A area set up for music as well noted. Cheerfully greeted by our waitress who took beverage and food order. Our meal came to us piping hot, we both had the fish and chips, cole slaw, and dinner roll. Very good it was and the fries were great too! Our waitress brought us another 4 pieces of fish, did not even have to ask!! Good food, excellent service, very reasonable prices, give this place a try!!

Went here a few weeks ago, the food was good, but it took a very long time to get our food. Decided to give them another chance today. When we pulled into the parking lot the Johnny 's Roadhouse pickup truck was doing donuts in the parking lot not far away from patrons vehicles. We noticed a car in the west end of the parking lot that was stuck also. Then a car from the parking lot took of and did a power slide around the parking lot and pulled up along side the pickup to have a conversation partly blocking the way out, which we were now heading for. If this is the maturaty of the workers, this place can 't be trusted to make my food. Sorry, but I thought this was going to be back on our radar, with new owners and all. Not any more though.

This seems to be one of the better places to eat in this area since there are very few if any ploaces east of here that serve food until you get to Baldwin. I have had the wet burrito and also was here for breakfast. Good both times. Kinda like home cooking......

I travel to the Scottville/Custer/Ludington area twice or more a year... Nice to see Johnny 's is serving food, actually good food again. Many know this place was shut down for years... however this is my go-to place now... I 've had the nachos and they were very good and large portion, had fish sandwich and on Friday I went to the Fish Fry, and it is ALL U CAN EAT. You don 't have to ask, they ask you if you 'd like more... oh and their drinks and selection of beer are very good too. Two Thumbs and Toes Up! !

Absolutely the worst meal and service I have ever had. I can't even give it 1 star. I sent my broasted chicken back. Tasted terrible. Mashed potatoes were horrid too. Salad came after meal was served. Spent almost 2 hours there. Whoever miss Jeri is..owner/ cook ?Graciously gave us a 10 percent discount. On a meal I sent back! And by the way I ordered a 1/2 chicken and got 2 PC's. But doesn't really matter cause I couldn't eat any of.
