Layla's Falafel

The bowl that we ordered and shared was amazing!! Always such fresh and beautifully crafted ingredients. We ordered chicken with hummus and garlic, tabouli, cauliflower, mujadrah, salad, eggplant. The woman who took our order could not have been more delightful, and she was so lovely and courteous to everyone on the phone and waiting in line. The best. Did I mention that I love ? Layla’s?

Incredible service, the guys there are super friendly and very helpful. The prepared foods are great, the Arabic Chicken Shawarma is top tier. Layla’s is a Fairfield staple.

I recently visited Layla's Falafel, and I was thoroughly disappointed. The atmosphere was uninviting, and the staff lacked basic courtesy no warm greeting or friendly welcome. The place felt more like a take out joint than a spot for a relaxing sit down lunch. Having had excellent Mediterranean food at another place in Southport, I had similar expectations for Layla's, but I was quickly dissapointed. The pita chips resembled Mexican nachos, and the chicken and lamb platter was cold and unappetizing. The beef in the kibbeh was also cold and tasted stale. Overall, the experience was far from pleasant, and I won't be returning.

Best food ever! I was totally blown away with my chicken, lamb with rice/lentils and salad meal. The hummus was out of this world. I can’t wait to order again when my Dad comes into town from Florida. I’m a customer moving forward. Maybe even weekly ? ?????
