Flying Vine Lakeside Grille - Cypress

We decided to get out of our usual area try something new. We liked the area where Flying Vine is located the water view they enjoy on the backside. We were seated right away approached by our server. The menu was varied interesting. We liked that they had a seasonal specials menu that added a nice list of dishes. We each started with a very nice glass of Brut Rose decided to try a couple of appetizers stuffed mushrooms fried asparagus. Both were delightful. The house made lemon sauce on the asparagus was delicious. We both chose the pecan crusted Snapper (yes, we're boring often order the same things, lol). It was hot yummy! It was accompanied with pureed cauliflower that was very nice as well as broccolini which was not as good. Not sure why but the stalks were very tough stringy hard to cut even harder to eat. The flavor was good... maybe they were overcooked? Otherwise the meal was very nice. The wine list was decent except that the wine we ordered, while very good, was misidentified on the wine list so that it was from a different vineyard. Most people wouldn't know or care but we are very intentional in the wines we order. We explained the situation to the server she spoke to the manager who said the distributor sent them the wrong wine they gave us a small discount. We did have to refill our own wine glasses a couple of times again, not a big deal but not what we're used to. Overall it was a nice evening.

Great food and drink. Perfect place for a date because it’s quiet and the view of the lake is great if you’re able to sit outside.

We had a wonderful get together at Flying Vine to celebrate a birthday. The ambiance is really nice and comfortable and you can talk to each other without screaming. The service was excellent! The food was good, but not fantastic, so three stars for that. I ordered a pasta dish that was tasty, but too greasy, however the cheesecake for dessert was excellent!

The food was good as always. However, considering the price, I feel the portion sizes could be a bit larger.

The dining experience was incredible! The atmosphere and service were outstanding!
