I ordered the queso, and I really enjoyed it. I wasn't familiar with Rotel before, but I found I preferred this version. Rotel has a slightly metallic taste that I'm not a fan of. If they're looking for a richer queso, mixing in some salsa would definitely enhance the flavor even more. The salsa here was quite good — it had a nice kick and was served warm, which I loved. It was slightly less salty than I’m used to, but I appreciated that, as so many dishes are often over-salted. I tried the chicken quesadilla, which my child enjoyed, although I thought the size of the queso was a bit small. I decided to order the pambazo, which is basically a torta with potatoes and a small piece of chorizo, covered in a red guajillo pepper sauce. Not many places serve this, but it’s really tasty. This particular version was a bit different from what I'm used to. Usually, the guajillo sauce is baked into the bread, but here it was added after the fact, leaving the bread soaked in broth. It was still delicious, but it does require a fork and knife to eat unless you want to make a huge mess. I wouldn’t recommend eating it by hand unless you're okay with soggy bread — maybe that's just a regional variation? While I’m not usually a fan of this preparation, I still enjoyed it. The prices were reasonable, neither great nor terrible. Overall, it was a really good experience, and I plan to come back frequently. This will definitely be my go-to place for pambazo!
I had only fajitas from here (many times.) I decided to try something else. I should have got fajitas. the chicken breast I ordered was hard. I would normally give 4 stars, but this food was only worth one or two.
I ordered a $36 dollar meal and got 2 uncens salsa with my meal. I called and asked her to send extra salsa I had already paid, and the manager liz told me she couldn't help me. I drove the two miles to the restaurant to complain personally and was told by liz that salsa was complimental and I would not give the 8 ounces I had already paid. she told me that salsa was free and that I was not entitled even if I got 8 ounces in the order of the previous week. I was not only criticized by the manager as inattentive, but that I had to go as I wanted her to complete my meal. I told them I would go after they gave me the salsa I had already paid for. bottom line, the manager doesn't care about their customers as they didn't have to solve the problem except to give me the half of the salsa I had already paid. it is difficult to deal with people who are not good for the future business of the company. she lost my future business due to a 10 cent cup salsa. I will never order food from them again, because they disregard for the customer, and the fact that liz did not even try to make my order complete. check their take-out orders as they are shortened via pennies, as this management team tries to press every penny of loyal customers.
We have always enjoyed eating here, but after our experience we will not be returning. My mother in law ordered a create your own plate where she got the choice of three items from their list. When her plate arrived, one of the items was incorrect and instead of our server (Nayeli) grabbing the plate and returning it to the kitchen to get fixed. She grabbed the item with her bare hands off the plate to take back to the kitchen. I was disappointed with the lack of respect and sanitary protocols. Do better.
