Barkers - Dacorum

I wouldn't even give this restaurant one star. We recently purchased two orders of chips that were not even cooked properly. They were a white mushy blob, so we ended up throwing them away. We had to go out in the pouring rain to find another place to eat. We definitely will not be returning to this restaurant. This was our first and last time dining there.

The staff was friendly and prepared our order quickly and efficiently. This was the best fish I've had from a fish and chip shop in a long time. It was not too greasy, and was tasty and light.

Had fish and chips. The fish was ok, nothing great, but the chips were soggy and very poor. I now go to Warner's End instead, much better.

Ordered fish and chips for my family. Really happy with what we received and also paying with card is a huge benefit. Heard bad reviews previously but was not disappointed.

Went there last night at about 7pm, live up the road but hadn’t been there for years, had always had a good experience in the past, unfortunately not this time! I ordered 2 regular cod and chips, they said would be a 4 minute wait for the fish to be cooked or I could have 1 large cod and 1 regular cod already cooked- I opted for the freshly cooked. Got home and had got one freshly cooked and one old one, chips were cold and rubbery, one fish was completely cold and it all had a horrible taste from the oil! To top it off I found a hair in my food, totally disgusting, I threw most of it away after paying nearly £15 for it, will never go back there, has gone completely down hill!
