The story of Smitty 's was that the original owners, Mr. Smith and his wife, wanted to retire, and they sold to this couple who were mismanaging the place. People that were working for the original owner took it back over and it seems like its old self. I mostly get vegetable plates. I love their fried okra, french fries and mac 'N cheese.
