Imagine having had a long week at work, then driving 270km to a remote destination to relax. We arrived in Dalby and decided to stop at a fine establishment for a quick, quality refreshment around 9:15 pm. The place was quiet, almost abandoned, even though it was advertised to be open until 10 o'clock. The young lady (or woman) was denied access to the restroom. We found a solution for her in the bush and proceeded to order some basic items - burgers, chips, onion rings, all washed down with lemonade. The service was lacking, and the atmosphere felt like a comedy sketch, with a pregnant woman acting like a manager and causing a scene. The food was cold and unappetizing, leading to disappointment. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing and not worth the $35 we spent on mediocre food and drinks.
They can wait up to 20 minutes for a solo meal, even if they are the only customer in charge. eating is very incompatible. all variations of burned frits and Stale-Bunge. the restaurant itself is always extremely dirty. no customers and still. every single table has food crumbs on it. the walls were sprayed for months with softdrink. the personal ignores them completely when they go to the counter until they are good and ready to take their order and a depressed and annoying demeanor at any time. only go here because it is close to the work.
This is the only Hungry Jacks I've been to where people skills has been left out of the interview process. Gemma served me and seemed like she really had better things to do than take my order. She gets 10/10 for trying to upsize my...order, even after telling her I did not want large she rang it through anyway. The meals are much of a muchness in all restaurants however the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired at this one.
Stopped for lunch at Jack's in Dalby. The Burgers were O.K.,The Fries were only mid-warm and the Restaurant was filthy. Cobwebs everywhere, tables dirty, chairs dirty. The rest rooms looked like they hadn't been given a good clean out in about a year. As a...former Hungry Jack's Restaurant Manager I was appalled by the condition of the place. Needles to say, we won't be back.
Pros; From the moment that we entered to when we left, we encountered unclean conditions. Even the entry door made me recoil as I touched it; being greasy and unclean. All the empty tables still had food scraps and sauce marks. We were not game...to try the toilets!! Cons; Value burgers and smiling service from staff being trained; but the supervising staff looked overworked. Conclusion: Poor Management.
