Betty's Mexican Grill - Dallas

I was really impressed by this restaurant! It's fantastic to discover that they offer not only Mexican cuisine but also BBQ. My husband, who is a BBQ enthusiast, was absolutely amazed by how delicious it was!

The food was exceptional! I only tried the steak fajita nachos and the carne asada plate, but I was really impressed. Definitely a must-try!

I honestly believe that this could be a first time business owner. I was immediately confused when I entered and saw several bbq signs over the walls. The sign outside says Buena Vida Mexican cuisine. Bbq Posters and prices in all walls?? Then I sat down and asked for a menu. We were the only customers inside and outside the FREE there. I ordered a Mexican court while my husband ordered Wels and Fritten. My queen was very good. A little pricy for our food. We paid $30 for two plates in a cold restaurant. My honest opinion is that the owner/cook should focus on excelling in a few standard Mexican dishes before it was in other types of kitchen because it was not good. Once you master the Mexican menu, maybe try something else. He was very hospitable and nice and I don't mean it as an insult. There is a lot of competition in the area, and this is unfortunately not a place I would come back to.

Great menu, food is good, service is great. I would give it five stars if the prices were a tad lower. Pricing is a little higher that you would expect from a tiny neighborhood cafe we have been a few times and will return. I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail.
