Desta Ethiopian - Dallas

I met friends for an early dinner and had the chance to try Ethiopian cuisine for the first time. I had high hopes, especially since my son had mentioned it was his favorite international food. I wasn't disappointed at all. I ordered lamb with mixed vegetables, served in the traditional style, and it was incredible—so flavorful and generous in portion that the two of us couldn't finish it, so now I have leftovers. What a bonus! For dessert, we tried the traditional coffee along with warm baklava and an ice-cold tiramisu, which was likely the best tiramisu I’ve ever tasted. Overall, our meal was fantastic! We will definitely return. Once we got home, we ended up going down a YouTube rabbit hole exploring Ethiopia.

First trip. First time for Ethiopian food. Really good dishes. Lamb was terrific, spices and flavor of everything was great. Prefer no tv in dining area with sound up. Otherwise great experience!

Wonderful people and service. The food is very delicious and their teas are amazing. I would recommend if you are ever in the area. Everyone there is also super nice.

Trying new foods can be scary, esp foreign foods but desta made me want to try everything on the menu

The Ethiopian food here is fantastic! I truly feel like I'm transported to another place when I'm dining in. The preparation is very authentic, and the dishes are incredibly delicious. The Kitfo is exceptional!
