East Hampton Sandwich Co. - Dallas

When I get to the front counter, the cashier had a laptop in front of her (with waiting customers) she said to ?hold on? when it was my turn. I understand the need to take online orders, but maybe a little more politeness could be used. I ordered ?TheCuban? with ?house made ranch chips?. My order didn?t take too long, however the ranch chips are actually stringy French fries,and they came out lukewarm/cold. They taste like when you reheat fries in a microwave. I guess since they are complimentary Ican?t complain too much. The Cuban sandwich however is really good, too expensive imho, but it?s very tasty with just the rightamount of spice. The restaurant is clean with bright colors, with kind of a nautical ?row team? decor. They have low tableswith benches on one side and chairs on the other, and tall tables for two or eight, and a few round tables for two. Overall the$15.67 it cost was not worth it.

Update: Came back for late Sunday lunch. The volume of the music has been adjusted to a comfortable level. So now, based on the yummy of the food. I am able to update rating to 5 stars. A no conversation place. What's that? ... Music is too loud, can'ttalk to the person in front of me without needing to raise my voice. No big deal, we'll just ask them to turn it down. We did.Twice. But no luck. The sandwiches are good, great actually for take out. Also worth mentioning a bit of a chill, maybe if lessaggressive on the AC and the volume control, would give it a higher review.

Please pay attention to food allergies! There’s no reason why a simple request to not put something on a sandwich should be ignored! It’s not as if I’m asking to take something off. Also, the auto gratuity is obnoxious. Pay your employees appropriately and stop forcing us to tip for poor service. I will NEVER eat here again.

Warning. This business does NOT accept out nations “legal tender”. Only plastic. This is very inconvenient, as most of the national tours who perform at our local venues, only use cash. I cannot recommend cashless businesses. The food was good and the cashier was friendly.
