We happened to find this place and the parking lot was full, which is usually a good sign. I played it safe and ordered the Chicken Chow Mein with Egg Foo Young. Overall I found it good. The waitress was not the most friendliest person in the world. Lourdes had the Sweet and Sour Chicken, she found it average. The rice was good. The interior of the restaurant was worn out and needs a good reno!! The prices were very inexpensive.
The restaurant is nice you can eat in or take out the people are very friendly that works there I think it's a family restaurant. The food is very delicious I know they got some kind of special sauce. I usually get shrimp lo mein and shrimp and broccoli. I love the egg rolls they are huge and very delicious. it can be a little expensive you're spending anywhere from $13 $15 a bladder you usually spend about 30 to $45 but you can feed your whole family.
I stopped in to have dinner here, for the first time in 40+ years. Yes, really. They opened in 1958. My family used to stop here when we were back in Dallas, I particularly recall the delicious egg rolls. And they still are! It's very good Chinese, but I think take out is a bigger deal these days. I'm glad I did this. Itch scratched!
Some hits and some misses. Ordered Hunan Beef which says is supposed to be very hot. They forgot to add any heat to the dish. Still tasted good. Combination sweet and sour was good, but one larger piece was a little under cooked. You can up grade any entree to a deluxe dinner for 5.95. You get your choice of a cup of soup, a puffed shrimp, egg roll, red bbq spare rib, Chinese almond cookie. Rib was a little strong pork tasting, excellent homemade egg roll, great wonton soup, puffed shrimp good. Long time family and friends owned. Want to go back and try other dishes.
Been coming here since I was 10 years old! The BEST subgum chicken chow mein, crispy egg rolls and duck sauce.
