Mexicali - Dallas

My mother-in-law recommended this restaurant to us during our visit. The portions were incredibly large, we had enough food for two meals and had to take some home. The freshly made churros with cajeta were amazing. The waiter was fantastic, attentive, informative, and respectful. The location is somewhat hidden, but worth finding. It is located next to a biker bar or some type of bar. Despite not being very busy, the restaurant was a charming place to enjoy a small dinner. We also tried the horchata mangorita and piña colada with a shot of patron, and all the drinks were delicious. I highly recommend this establishment for those looking for a quiet and cozy place to have dinner and a margarita.

It was good, for the price and lunch menu. I had the taco salad which was very large I could barely finish it ??They used to charge for chips and dip but I think they cancelled that.The only issue I had with it was the tipping. I leave cash tip but the guy from the register took 4$ extra from my card as a tip!! I leave about 20% for the waitress cause I want them to have it, but I didn't even know he charge my card until I got the bank statement text a few hours later!?CHECK YOUR CARD CHARGE BEFORE LEAVING RESTAURANT

The texmex food at this restaurant is delicious and straightforward. The service is fantastic and friendly. The chips and salsa are tasty. The prices are affordable as well.

The fajitas were fantastic! The nachos and salsa were also delicious. The server was very friendly and the food was served promptly.

We ordered from Mexicali and when we were delivered the food we were missing another soda and even tried getting the attention of the person who delivered the food from us, but the person ignored us and drove off. We were basically scammed. And my brother is disabled and couldn't move to the person to get their attention! I recommend you DO NOT get your food from this restaurant. They're scammers and ableists.
