Norma's Cafe - Dallas

Tried this place out for the first time today. Really enjoyed everything I ordered! Ended up ordering some to-go on my way out. So the family could try it too! Everything was cooked to order. So I recommend being patient. Also, this place is a ?mom and pop? and the interior could use some TLC. Otherwise, no complaints.

The owner, David is a very nice guy and he is very passionate about his food. My husband and I had the sampler platter with the seafood gumbo and the beignets. The food was very flavorful and tasty. We will definitely come back!

We ordered the Shrimp Po' Boy Sandwiches, which came in generous portions. I couldn't even finish mine, so my husband happily took the rest. We also tried the Seafood Gumbo Beignets—my first experience with beignets—and they were absolutely delicious! The seafood gumbo was outstanding, perfectly spiced—not too hot, just right for our tastes. You absolutely have to try it! It was so good that we returned the very next day for more! We can't wait to go back time and again to sample everything on the menu. We've already told our family to try it as soon as possible, and you should too—you won’t regret it!

I went here to grab lunch because I love a good cathfiah lunch. I was the only one there. Let me tell this fish was so well seasoned that my grandma would claim the cook one of her children. Don?t ask the size of the fish. Just know that you are going to get 2 shoe sizes on your plate.

The owner is a really sweet guy who is really passionate about his food. He showed us how careful he is to make sure everything is halal and offered us many free samples and free bread. We ordered the gumbo and the crawfish etoufee and both were really good. So great to have halal Cajun food in the DFW area!
