Shady's Burgers Brewhaha - Dallas

I'll keep it brief! Be careful if you want grilled onions on your burger—they'll charge you without informing you. The cashier with the ponytail didn't even apologize when I asked him beforehand if I could substitute raw onions for grilled ones, and he said, “absolutely.” It feels like shady business practices at Shady Burger, so make sure to check your receipts, as they seem to nickel and dime you. By the way, the house burger doesn't come with cheese, even though there's a cheeseburger picture right next to it on the menu.

We dined on the patio on a surprisingly warm and windy day in Texas—hard to believe, I know! Despite the weather, the fans, misters, and shade made for a pleasant experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the HOOD burger, which I customized by removing the buns and adding extra meat for triple the beef, topped off with an egg. I ordered it medium rare, and it did not disappoint! The sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly, and there was plenty to go around. Chase was our waiter, and we all appreciated his down-to-earth attitude. He answered every question we had about our order with confidence. It was refreshing to find someone as genuine as him, especially in today's fast-paced world; he devoted his time to us and didn’t rush off to the next table. If you get the chance, definitely ask for him—he’d be more than happy to serve you. I’m adding a few photos from our group as well!

We ordered the hood burger, tail gator and the kids burger meal. The food was delicious as always. Perfectly cooked medium. The venue was a little loud because they had a band playing outside and the gates were open.

I had the New Pork on the Block burger, and it was amazing. My partner had the Ruben with chips. We also had fried pickles, which is my only complaint. The pickles are a little too salty and could have been fried a little longer. We are always looking for great burgers and beer, and I'm happy we stopped in.
