The Woolworth - Dallas

I enjoyed a lovely lunch at this restaurant last week while exploring the area. I was seated outdoors, where I had a great view of "The Eye." The lobster grilled cheese sandwich was fantastic, featuring a generous amount of lobster and reasonably priced. The French fries were delicious and cooked to perfection. My server was just the right level of attentive. I wanted to return with friends on Sunday, but unfortunately, they are closed that day. Perhaps I'll make it back next time I'm in town!

The calamari had a chewy texture and was soft, but it lost its crispy quality once the sauce was poured over it. The zoodles were colorful and intriguing, but without a spoon, I struggled to enjoy the tasty soup/sauce alongside the zucchini noodles. I would love for the soup to be thicker so I could savor the flavor better with the zoodles. As for the lobster fondue, it lacked a distinct lobster flavor and tasted more like a brie cheese fondue. Additionally, it was quite salty for my taste, even when paired with bread. The gnocchi was also overly salty; I tried to finish it, but the texture was more akin to potato bread than the delightful chewiness I expected. Overall, many of the dishes shared a similar flavor profile, featuring salty cheese, crushed pepper, garlic, and/or cilantro, which left my palate feeling a bit bored.

This is a very elegant restaurant. The service was quick and accommodating, and the food was absolutely delicious. The bartender crafted a nice rum and coke, but the Silence is Golden cocktail was quite intense. Overall, it’s a fantastic place; my only complaint is that there were only two meatless options on the entire menu.

I made reservations for 8 here on a Saturday and they were accommodating. When we arrived the table was pre-set up for us. The staff was nice and helpful with food recommendations. Please note for reservations it does require a credit card on file. I hadthe special which was the crusted salmon with crab mashed potatoes and a salad. While the food was pretty good I wasn?t a fan ofthe salad but everything else was great. I will come here again and maybe try a different dish. Also the presentation of thefood was great!

The wait was about 20 minutes... we didn't have reservations so that wasn't too bad. The place has a lively atmosphere. The food was really good and the service was great. A few more dessert options and we will have a winner.
