Extremely proud of his accomplishments! This is a hidden gem worth the visit. If you were lucky enough to taste his food while he was at the, ‘Cathedral Italian Bistro’ (Plano), you will be in for a treat! Beckley is a comfortable small (currently serving wine, but have applied for full liquor license) eclectic experience, with full focus on quality ingredients mindfulness on the food/flavor. (heads up name change in the works)Next time you are in Dallas for an event, or live in the vicinity, go give it a try! BTW, they have a nice wrap around patio too??
Chef Luke has exploded a whole new world of flavors and food that I have never eaten that I now crave. It's an amazing experience to dine
I'm a person that believe that humanity is the most important characteristics of a person. I am a disabled individual that went into this restaurant because my motor ? scooter is always having issues. Chef Luke has stopped and helped me financially get on transportation and offered me fare that I didn't have. The last encounter I was raining severely outside and he and customer was outside with their loving pets. Funny thing the lady he was talking too. I meet in a different occasion and she recognized me. She came up to me an introduced her in 12 week old basset hound puppy and her 11 year old dog to me. Allowed me touch her puppy and besides the fact I'm on a fixed income and surely can't afford to eat at this fine establishment. Just the fact that they both treated me with great humanity and heart, give me great hope in the human race and I promise with all of my might that I will one day return the favor to the chef. Thanks for bringing ? and love to Bishop Arts District
I can’t say much that hasn’t already been said in other reviews. It’s a testament to the collective craving we must all have to feel at home when we dine, have hospitality from the chef and his wife themselves, and experience new flavors perfection in cooking. I think Luke has a bit of a thing for Pasta. It seems to be his specialty. What’s really fun about that though is that he does things with pasta I’ve never heard of or experienced before. Like great Jazz, he starts with a standard and then goes completely rogue, tickling our senses with something familiar enough to keep us coming back, but new enough to give me the “first time” emotions. I’ve seen the beach in LA many times, but I remember the first time like it was magic. I can smell the air, and feel the temperature of the breeze on my skin all over again just by thinking of it. The two times I’ve dined here have had the same effect on me. I’m writing this review because I genuinely like Luke, his wife, and the team and because I want you to experience magic as well.
This is the best meal I have had in Dallas! The lamb was delicious and perfectly cooked. Really enjoyed the escargot. Looking forward to trying more of the menu.
