So, the misus and I decided to try braidwoods after their parents left and ran over them. at the arrival there was a nice lady, I think she was the owner and gave us the possibility of a table. canapes were brought out and they were the finest vol-au valves filled with speck and mushroom, so small and annoying, the taste was devine. the menu included about twelve elements for the entire four courses. starters were the scallops served on a bed of peases and ham with parma, a word could describe this. Fortunately, I am not got, so I will have to try with my limited vocabulary, awesome . the way I urinate everywhere where I eat, I can do something better, and the answer for the kanapes and the starter was a sounding no! the secon curs for me was the new potato and garlic soup. Oh, I could taste the new kartoffel through everything, it was so good I forgot what the missus had, not she had the Parmasan tea and we both loved it. the head was pork for both of us and again heaven in you. pork fillet with apple with arran blue cheese. now after that we had to finish the 4 courses and both ended with the chocolate cake I've ever eaten. it was a bit expensive, but the quality and service. I actually go back next week and I can't wait to see what they have on my palette this time. Oh, good is that the wine list is not too ashamed and the house wine is about £4 a glass. I would recommend that everyone visit here at least once, only to experience this type of cooking at least once. dylan, we did it before 3 weeks and guess what it was so good. the kanapes were the same and I was so happy about it. everything was just magic and we're going back, but I haven't said the woman whoo hoo.
For fine eating it will not be better than this in the west coast of Scotland. this was a lunch for two seasonal fresh eating, served with style, in a beautiful remote environment of really friendly staff to very favorable trips for what they get. a well-run restaurant of an excellent couple who know their things clearly and certainly deserve all the prizes they have won. the menu changes regularly, so we will certainly visit again, and again!
In a rustic building house with a beautiful wood fire in the beautiful ayrshire landscape. homely but basic restaurant interior with beautiful friendly and attentive staff. the food was absolutely delicious (vegetarian for me,) quality kitchen, perfectly seasoned and only the desired portion size. a great culinary experience.
We really enjoyed eating in braidwoods. it's so an assault that you grow up on the land (now next door!), they would never think that there is a Michelin star restaurant on the first look. but I think that part of the charm is that eating is very to the earth and embodies the spirit of the farm to table. I loved all the courses, although this does not heal as much as the others, when I am honest. overall the meal was presented very hearty, tasteful and graceful. we will be back soon!
Lovely food in an intimate and rural location. Nice service, not over the top. Small and relaxed, it's a must visit for those close to Glasgow.
