I first discovered this restaurant years ago and am happy to recommend it to my friends even now. The menu has been expanded to include more vegan or vegan-friendly options, which are clearly labeled. The staff is friendly and well-informed, providing excellent service. The dishes here are superb, with a perfect blend of spices and flavors. Some of my personal favorites include the samusa soup and vegetable noodles.
The best Burmese in the bay go ahead and me is this elegant restaurant tucked into a strip mall in Daly City. More than half of their menu is vegan or vegetarian, and their staff is sweet and friendly and conscious of dietary needs. Favorites: tea leaf salad savory, crunchy, sour, salty; if I had to pick a last meal, this might be it. Samusa soup is warm and comforting. The house special noodles with tofu. The okra egg curry (eggs are optional). Ginger salad, sweet and sour and refreshing. Burmese food has lively combinations of flavors and textures and this place gets it all right. The first review here recommends reservations, but I've never needed them if you're hungry now, don't let that stop you!

The best Burmese restaurant in the Bay Area is this elegant restaurant located in a strip mall in Daly City. More than half of their menu is vegan or vegetarian, and their staff is sweet, friendly, and attentive to dietary needs. Some favorite dishes include the tee leaf salad, crispy and flavorful; the samosa soup, warm and comforting; the house special noodles with tofu; the okra curry (eggs optional); and the ginger salad, sweet and refreshing. Burmese cuisine is known for its vibrant combinations of flavors and textures, and this restaurant executes it perfectly. While a previous review suggests making reservations, I have never had trouble getting a table without them. If you're feeling hungry, don't hesitate to stop by this amazing restaurant.
I have always been a fan of Burmese cuisine because of its rich and complex flavors. Unfortunately, the food at this restaurant lacked flavor and tasted bland to me. Compared to Pagan's in San Francisco, which sets a high standard, I was disappointed. I had high hopes for this place but it did not meet my expectations.
