Shane was just wonderful last night, there was a very long line of patrons trying to get a table. He was absolutely kind, thoughtful and most accommodating. The prime rib dinner that Chelsea recommended didn’t disappoint either! Those two along with all the bartenders (Ted, Aurturo, Wil Luis) and every single server are fantastic!! We will be back!!
Sat out on the deck and had a delicious burger and truffle fries and garlic aioli at the recommendation of my fantastic server Aleena—something I would’ve never ordered for myself but was an exceptional addition to my meal.
The MB Beach Club is a clean, modern-looking restaurant on the beach near the Monarch Bay Resort. The resort shuttle lets passengers off right at the Club, which has clean restrooms, a nice bar area, a shaded patio, and picnic-style tables adjoining. Since it is right on the beach, there are killer ocean wave views from the patio area. After sunning for awhile on the beach, we walked back to the Club for lunch. Service was good and we enjoyed our ice teas as we took in the view. One of us had buffalo-style chicken wings--tasty though spicy. I had one of the best fish sandwiches I can remember. Not fried fish, not a grilled fillet, more like a warm fish salad but with more bite. Hard to describe but with a terragon dressing on a chiabata roll, delicious! We thought the prices were very fair for the spectacular setting.
The service was slow but friendly. The clam chowder was excellent. The catch of the day was sea bass which was excellent but the sides were lacking. My husband did not like the corn potato salad. The truffle flies were frozen and just ok. You do have to take a tram to the location. You can sit on the outside deck or the lawn which is nice. Great spot to see the sun set.
