Zen Sushi - Dana Point

We arrived later in the weekend and were seated immediately. The service could use some improvement; we didn’t receive everything we ordered, which turned out to be fine since we ordered a lot. We tried a few rolls and some appetizers. The tuna nachos (as shown in the picture) had some old fried tempura flakes on top, which were definitely stale. The tuna itself was spicy but somewhat bland for my taste. The rolls we chose mostly featured seared fish. However, the garlic edamame was particularly good, well-seasoned, and served piping hot. I wish I could share my thoughts on the octopus salad, but we never received it. Overall, it was a decent sushi spot!

It's been a while since I last visited this restaurant, but I have to say it remains my favorite sushi spot. The place is consistently clean, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is excellent—no matter what you order, you’re sure to enjoy it. I find the prices to be quite reasonable, and the portions are generous. I've been coming here for about 10 years, even before it changed its name to Zen Sushi, and I still love it.

We always enjoy coming here! The staff is exceptionally kind to us. My 11-year-old son is a huge fan and considers himself a food critic. He can be quite picky, but you never fail to impress him. They always treat him wonderfully. The fish is fresh, and the service is excellent.

I love they are child-friendly. I bring my 2yo here and they are very interactive with her. Also the sushi is amazing. I had almost every role now and was never impressed. I don't live here, but it's a must if I'm in the area. I recommend the Golden Lantern role as well as the Hawaiians.

Food was really good a little pricey but worth it my only complain was that they were being stingy on the sauces
