The mall is safe, fairly busy, and has a good selection of stores and entertainment that tilt upscale. As stated by others, it 's one of the last prosperous traditional malls in the entire region. I do notice that the majority of shoppers and employees are hispanic. Apparently most white people In the region do their shopping online or hyper locally.
One of the last non-dead malls in CT. Every time I come here on a weekend it is crazy busy to the point it’s hard to walk. It’s also one of the last places left with a Macy’s in my area. Not to mention it still has a functioning carousel and fountain, which is unheard of in today’s era of malls. Almost every store front is filled (with a good selection of shopping), and they have plans to convert the two abandoned anchor spaces too into a Target and Japanese arcade. The food court has a lot of options and is very large. It’s also very clean, although in the summer it can get a little warm inside. I’m happy that this mall survived COVID and has been in operation for almost 40 years!
Great mall to take your family on a small shopping spree or a stroll. They have areas that can entertain your kids and also have a good layout just in case you get lost. One thing I will say I don't like is the loud people that yell in the mall, yet there's really nothing you can do other than stare in disappointment. Don't let your kids go alone as they act foolish when unsupervised.
Great shopping opportunities, but really hot. The elevator was absolutely stifling and the mall itself was strikingly warm. Still, nice shopping options for all. Parking not an issue.
