Cool Beachy Vibes Yummy Food We often go to lunch or late in the afternoon they have a couch on the beach that is our preferred place to listen to cool music, watching the waves splash and eating some fabulous food. Stuffed Pita Pockets (Schwarma), Tacos and Plantain Burgers are on the menu, but the boss always has daily specialties that are so delicious. Do not miss visiting Fat Mermaid, especially if your gluten, vegan, vegetarian, they have great plant options. You'll love it....

Great discovery! The food was fantastic (these Plantain Burger bungalows were amazing), cool atmosphere and super sweet space. You need to visit when you're in Hopkins.

The food here is both delicious and健康! There are plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians as well. I highly recommend it!

One must go... especially at sunset to experience the view and then the ambience of its location. Some of the best food I've had since the beginning of our journey in Belize. Fish taco, bean taco and the Maya cheese? Waffl Dessert was top notch. Super amazing restaurant with great prices, friendly staff and vegetarian options. If I had spent more time in Hopkins, I would have gone a few times to try more on the menu.

I've had the pleasure of enjoying lunch here twice in the past few months, and both experiences were unforgettable. The place is brimming with ambiance, beach vibes, and absolutely fantastic food! It's officially on my list of must-visit spots: I need to make The Fat Mermaid a regular destination.
