Great fish, obviously fresh, hand breaded, great quality, and prepared perfectly. The Cole slaw was clearly prepared fresh. And the hushpuppies were possibly the best I've ever had.
The food service was excellent. The only negative thing I can say is that dogs are NOT allowed on the patio even though Google said they were. Good thing I called first!
We were out of towners and drove up it was past prime time for dinner. We were tried and questioned should we try the I I state line tavern for a place to eat. We all ordered something different. The service was top-notch. Never waited menus,drinks, very welcoming. The atmosphere was good. Also, the name of tavern was misleading they had quite a menu, and what came out of the kitchen was better tasting than some high-priced places in big cities I have dined. It 's very much of a gem in the rough. The two ladies that waited on couldn 't have done a better job. As I observed, this was how all customers were treated. Will probably never be back in the area, but should I find my myself there. I 'd find a way to eat there.
Great food, people is wonderful, and atmosphere is awesome.
The Blondie is hands down the best burger that I’ve ever had! The sweet and savory combo is worth the drive!!! The batter on the fries and onion rings were a pleasant change from the norm. Jessica was so friendly and helpful. She added to the positive experience for sure! We will be stopping again the next time we are driving through the area from Indy. Can’t wait to taste some Riggs Hefeweizen (or other options Draft next time as well! ;
