Locanda Ravello - Danville

Restaurant was extremely loud in a small room and could not hear sitting next to each other. Waiter was aloof and although we indicated it was a birthday celebration, waiter didn't acknowledge it and I had to tell the waiter when he was about to bring the check. Food was just ok. Everyone in the part thought that there was too much lemon flavor in the calamari and the sauce on the pasta of the was too thick.

We have been coming here for years but this was our first time in the newer building- wonderful addition! The ambiance is great, very European. Waitstaff excellent and attentive, asked for and received a custom cocktail which was perfect. The frito misto and meatball appetizers- delicious. Caprese salad had beautiful heirloom tomatoes and a huge portion of burrata cheese. Vongoli clam dish was amazing, strozzepati (sp) pasta always a favorite and the pesto gnocchi was light- a fantastic evening and fun crowd. If you don't want to sit outside I recommend the “new” building!

I had the veggie sandwich. It was on a baguette because the panini machine was broken. I agreed to that substitution. But, the roll was cold, the tomatoes were green and flavorless and the pesto spread and cheese spread were sloppy and squeezing out of the bread. I think it would have been better if the bread were warm and there were more veggies on the sandwich. The pasta dishes looked delicious! The French fries were the best I've had in a long time. But, the sandwich was underwhelming.

Great atmosphere, wonderful place to dine, phenomenal food and drink selection.

Lunch at Locanda Ravelo was lovely. Vegan pasta and the caprese were very good. The best though, were the limoncello and the espresso outstanding. Loved the ambiance as well we will definitely return !!!
