I ordered the shrimp tacos from their food truck today and they are absolutely the worst tacos I've ever had. The wait for shrimp was questionable but I looked past it. Upon receiving my food, off rip, presentation was a turn off as sauce was slipping in the container. I gave it the benefit of the doubt think flavor would save the whole ordeal, i did wait a while and paid $16. Safe to say, I will never order fromthis establishment again. I paid $16 for a soft shell lettuce taco, after the l first bite that's all that it. Save ya money and eat elsewhere
Ordered the Birria tacos. The presentation was solid, but the tacos were so underwhelming ? The meat was tender yet bland. The broth matched the flavor of the meat...bland. All I could taste was spice, the kind of spice that catches you in the throat and triggers a cough. No other seasonings to be found. But I did hear others say their brisket tacos were good.
For $12, a heft burrito or 3 tacos was a good amount. It was done within 5 or so minutes. The tacos could use extra sauce if you just get onions and cilantro, so go heavy on the mild green sauce and the medium red sauce at the window upon leaving. They take cash and card, perfect after-bar food if you’d rather eat outside (or some bars sometimes let you bring in food)
Went to a concert at the Mann. They had a bunch of food trucks at the venue. Usually I don 't like food truck food unless I 'm in dire need. This concert was one of those dire need times. I got chips and guacamole as well as a bowl that contained rice, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Honestly I was pretty impressed. They gave a fair amount of guacamole which is pretty rare for most places. The bowl was also very filling and they definitely used fresh ingredients. Hopefully I see you El Tlaloc at the next festival.
