I had the chicken fajita omelet with American fries and French toast, while my husband enjoyed the Irish Benny, which featured poached eggs over corned beef hash, along with pancakes. Everything tasted homemade and fresh. We also got a slice of eggnog cream pie and strawberry cheesecake to take home, and they were both delightful as well!
I heard about this restaurant from friends and decided to take my family there for lunch on a Sunday. It was easy to access from the freeway, and there was plenty of parking available. It's a small, family-owned diner that feels quite typical. While the atmosphere isn’t anything special, the food and service were excellent. Our total bill for three adults, including a 20% tip, came to $52. Two of us ordered breakfast skillets, and one had a wrap. The skillets were generous portions and made fresh to order.
It's been a few years since our last visit to this restaurant, as we don't get to the area very often. However, I’ve been coming here for over 20 years, and I've always enjoyed an outstanding meal. This time, we stopped by for an early morning breakfast, and once again, they delivered excellent food! They always have enticing specials available. My wife chose the blueberry or blackberry pancakes, and even though you can order anywhere from one to three pancakes, she opted for just a single cake. Despite that, I ended up eating nearly half of hers—which is impressive, as she has a hearty appetite! She's definitely not someone who picks at her food. I went with the classic eggs and sausage, and the over-easy eggs were cooked to perfection—rich and runny! The staff here is very friendly. The current owner remodeled the place nine years ago, and it’s a fantastic stop in this small community, conveniently located right off I43. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you stop by!
Definitely worth a visit! The food was delicious and very healthy in servings at a good price! Their pancake was so good I could eat it without syrup. They have home made cinnamon rolls the size of your hand! They also have a sriracha ketchup?! The environment is very friendly too ?
Thank goodness it?s the closest truck stop if you take back roads from Bolingbrook IL to St Paul MN. The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly.
