Who knew modern Lebanese food was so refined and tasty! Loved their cured salmon, squid, octopus, beef cheek and lamb shawarma dishes, and their knafeh was also lovely. Lebanese wine was pretty good too! Service was very friendly, laid back but also knowledgable about the wine/food suitability. Keep up the good work and Will definitely be back!
Our dinner at Embers was a marvelous riot of flavours and textures. Loved: fried cauliflower salad (trust me); mung bean falafel (unique taste and softer than a normal falafel); harissa chicken with cous cous (super moist and tender, with lots of flavour); carob beef with freekeh (rich hearty winter dish, beautifully paired with the chewy freekeh); chargrilled squid (the mixed herbs, peaches and orange salad balanced the slight bitterness of the char); rosewater panna cotta. Also good: baked haloumi in honey (the cheese was softer, less rubbery); lamb shawarma (tender but a bit dry in some parts); pumpkin with goats cheese and hazelnuts (classic flavours executed well); chocolate chai pudding (very rich); knafeh (a bit too runny but would suit those who prefer less sweeter stuff). Service was excellent on the Sunday night we visited with the staff constantly checking if we needed anything (but not in an intrusive manner). The only minor downside was the smell of oil/fried food that wafted through the restaurant and stuck on our clothes. Small price to pay though. Would highly recommend Embers - we've already marked it for a return visit.

The cauliflower chickpea and pomegranate salad is probably one of the must try dishes in Sydney. It surprises me with its unique combination and taste and I am sure everyone will like it. The chicken was not as flavourful as other Lebanese chicken I have tried. It was overcooked as well.
Modern Lebanese food with no disappointed dishes on the menu. I have a visited multiple times with different groups of friends. A must go to.
