Highly recommend the ribs, the sauce was incredible and was not lacking in quantity. The vibe of the place added to the night and was culturally appropriate to the cuisine. Very enjoyable!
I ordered Peppermint Crisp and Bobotie at Lucky Tsotsi and it was great to try some African cuisine in Sydney. On the one hand, The Bobotie was expensive and the minced beef was dry and oily. On the other hand, the peppermint crisp was refreshing. Probably one of the few desserts which you should try.
Been there twice now, both times were fantastic, from a food as well as a service perspective. Great value for money, and the best beef ribs in Australia. As a former South African I can vouch for the authenticity of the food, the drinks and the whole experience.
A little piece of home in my very own backyard. I must admit, Lucky Tsotsi did make me feel a little bit home sick! Loved the South African dècor too! The food was fantastic. The beef ribs were really tasty and fell off the bone. I also loved the peppermint crisp tart ????
Charming little place with friendly staff and a relaxed, casual vibe. We ordered the lamb samoosa, LM prawns and chicken bunny chow. Our meal cost $70 including 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine. The samoosa was delicious and the prawns were amazing (be prepared to get your hands dirty as stated in the menu). The bunny chow was OK, the chicken curry in the bunny chow was a bit bland for our taste. Would definitely go back for the prawns and samoosa.
