North Indian Cuisine offers flavorful North Indian dishes with a touch of spice. This fast food Indian restaurant has most of its menu pre-cooked and displayed in Bain-Marie’s. I opted for a combination of Butter Chicken and Mango Chicken served on rice. I was pleased with the generous portions of chicken in each dish, and the rice was perfectly cooked. Despite requesting mild Indian dishes, I still enjoyed the lingering taste of the delicious spices. As a person with a disability, I found the staff to be helpful.
I ordered takeout and was surprised to find that the curry was placed on top of the rice in the same container. In other places, they usually pack them side by side so that you can keep them separate. I also ordered a naan to eat with the curry, but it was difficult to eat it first because of the way it was packed. The food was decent and the prices were cheaper than the average Indian takeout.
Chicken madras was rich and tasty (although not spicy as they claimed), the palak paneer was actually a bit spicy and the allo baigan/eggplant (definitely the star of the show) was very rich and pretty spicy. You can get big serves at a good price without wasting space and money on rice. Better than most proper Indian restaurants in Sydney but maybe the absolute best of the old style diners.
I visited the restraunt for dinner when I was in Sydney. Nice and Tasty food, also their veg thali is great in terms of amount and rate.
