Feedback gevenWhile not particularly innovative or standout, this restaurant is convenient for grabbing a meal or drinks before a show at the nearby theater. However, since the theater is located in the heart of Sydney's food scene, there are plenty of other dining options within walking distance. Therefore, it may not offer many advantages to dine here.
Booked pre-show, set menu, for our group of 6. Comfortable, lively atmosphere that was promising. The staff seemed overwhelmed with the relatively short time frame from seat to service. Overlooked, as you 't beat the on site convenience. But the food was a disaster. Half of our party...serves inconspicuous, under seasoned meat; the rest of us, a paltry 'bowl' from over seasoned (i.e. salt loaded) vegetarian option to share a single bowl between us 3. Asked if this was a mistake staff, simply smiled and scrubbed their shoulders. Bewildered. In any case, it won't risk returning.
We decided to catch a show at Eternity Playhouse and ended up trying the restaurant on the premises. The menu had a limited variety of dishes, with cake being served only with a side salad. However, the Trout and Beef Cheek cakes we ordered were both delicious. The service was quick, efficient, and friendly. While the wine list wasn't extensive, there was a decent selection available. Overall, this restaurant is a fantastic option for a pre-show meal.
The restaurant offers a limited menu but the food is excellent and well-presented. The service is fast and efficient. The wine list features top quality Brokenwood wines. It is recommended to reserve a table in advance as seating is limited. It is a perfect spot for a pre-show dinner.
I believe the theater opened this restaurant on site just recently. It's extremely convenient to have dinner here before a show. We had a 7:30PM show and had 6PM dinner reservations. We were able to get drinks, a meal and a dessert before the show started....But if you arrive late, it might be a bit of a stretch, so be sure to show up on time. I think bookings are probably essential, so call ahead or book online. The menu was small, but their options were enough in my opinion: they had chicken, fish, beef and vegetarian options for the mains, so my group was happy. The food was solid; my chicken was cooked very well juicy on the inside but crispy skin on the outside. The presentation was also very good. We had friendly and efficient service as well. The only real downside is that the wine list was lacking; they only offered wines from one Australian winery. I actually did enjoy the wine that we ordered but just be aware that there aren't many options. I'd certainly recommend it if you want a convenient dinner before your show.
