Latil's Landing - Darrow

Oh, my God! We had a choice from our tour guide (tours by Isabella) and I wanted the burger, but assumed it would be a cheaper burger and disappointed. Then I saw how it was served. I wanted to change my order. It looked devine! But my plate I went with was not disappointed. So delicious! And my bread pudding... just spicy!

For drinks, I really enjoyed their coffee, and the sweet tea was also delightful. The food was expertly prepared, from the appetizers to the desserts. I particularly loved the Etouffée. You'll appreciate that the cooking style isn’t overly salty or spicy; it strikes the perfect balance for enjoyment. The only slight difficulty was reaching the restaurant, but traversing the beautiful gardens to get there was part of the charm.

We dined at this restaurant during a plantation tour, and we were impressed. The burgers and Po' Boy were both delicious, and the cheesecake for dessert was outstanding.

I had a wonderful time at the Homas house and garden, which is a beautiful piece of history. I also enjoyed lunch at the charming rural restaurant, Latil. It made for a lovely day trip!

We enjoyed a great dinner in this beautiful historic setting. The food was good (traditional and well prepared but not exceptional), service was excellent. We made the mistake of ordering the 5 course sampling menu and I could not finish half of my entree and dessert, the portions are way too large for such sampling menu. We would eat there again though, just to enjoy the setting.
