Double Tree by Hilton - DARWIN CITY

Visited the Poolside restaurant a couple of times because we were staying at the Doubletree by Hilton. The happy hour is fantastic - $5 basics. Food can be expensive for what it is, but everything was tasty. Went in one day for breakfast and the food was delicious. Staff go out of their way to help you, can't fault them at all!

We had lunch by the pool. It was delivered by one of the chefs and our son gave him a bit of cheek so he told him to "come for dessert after dinner" for a treat. We did and was one of the best experiences of our holidays! A 13yo is hard to impress but Chef Andy knocked his socks off with his presentation of dessert!! The 'De-con-strayed Cyclone Tracey Dessert Plate was AMAZING! The Tim Tam Pannacotta was fab too! We had a lovely evening meeting Chef Andy and Chef Preveen and Christian. Thank you so much, our young man is still talking about you! The food at Alice Springs Double tree Hilton is absolutely NO MATCH for you guys!

This restaurant next to the pool offers a great menu at a reasonable price. The tropical décor and hotel features are reminisce of early Darwin but only add to the occasion.

Only thing I can say, Is they need to be sure their swimming guest, make sure they are dry, not drip all the way to lift. Very dangerous for the other guests walking around the area

We were staying in the hotel so our first meal here was for breakfast, a buffet which had lots of delicious things to choose from plus a very good coffee machine. Next was dinner after a day's shopping and sightseeing so it was lovely just to sit in the quiet and enjoy our tasty meal. We could either sit in or out but chose inside where we were seated at a table overlooking the pool area where a couple of families were enjoying themselves. I decided to have the prawn cocktail as a main accompanied by a bowl of chips whilst my husband had the butter chicken - just the right amount for each of us. We enjoyed the food here so much and being quite tired from our just completed Arnhem Land excursion we decided to have both lunch and dinner here on our last day as well and once again the food was excellent - I had the prawn cocktail again as it was just so good.
